Kenny was THE voice of the San Jose Speedway as well as Kearney Bowl, Clovis, Madera and The Golden State/West Classic. His great career spanned five decades and touched so many of our lives. He always began his day in the pits with note pad in hand, taking down notes about every driver. He knew their birthdays, anniversaries, things about their work and so much more. He cared about "his" drivers. Kenny was a very gracious gentleman and made everyone feel special. On the PA system he was electrifying during qualifying and all evening. He tagged many drivers with nick names - "The Campbell Comet", "Quick Nick", "The Caruthers Cannonball", "Mombo Pombo". One day he belongs in the NASCAR Hall Of Fame. Kenny - THANK YOU for everything you did for auto racing. You may be out of sight, but you will NEVER be far from our thoughts ! You are a LEGEND OF THE SAN JOSE SPEEDWAY !
